Introducing, "Syringa Time." Idaho's state flower, the Syringa, frames the left side of this picture of Lake Pend d' Oreille, photographed in 1950. Although this photo is seen in it's original version as a black and white, an earlier version was hand tinted by Hazel Hall, re-photographed and sold as a color post card. The publisher, Dexter Press of New York, claimed at the time that as a post card, it was the most prolific selling image in the country.
